Well, I guess we are doing this.

Hey guys. My goodness, I didn’t think we’d be here, a year ago. And yet here we are.
2021 is nearly upon us and despite everything, 2020 has been a good year for me. Lots of words, new relationships, and a continual building of health. I was hoping to grow my YouTube and Instagram presence in the coming year...
Aaaaaaand that looks like it’s crashing and burning.
YouTube has decided to censor a group of people and effectively ban free speech, and Instagram has decided to become a freaking stalker. Neither of these choices sit well with me; they are deeply disturbing and very upsetting. No matter which side of a political spectrum we stand on, banning free speech and tracking users should concern us all. It is a violation of privacy and infringment of constutional rights (I’m speaking of the American constitution, as an American)
And so I’m desperately searching for new platforms to post on and connect with you all. I’m falling back on DA for the time being, even if the updated site is confusing to me. I am not talking politics here... this site is for my art and writing. It’s not political, and I’m trying to keep it that way and create a space where we can enjoy art and story. That is my goal. But I feel I need to address YouTube and Instgram’s desisions, simply to explain why I won’t be posting much more on those sites.
With this in mind, I’m honestly considering starting some kind of DA group, though I have no clue how that works. Or maybe even a Discord server? Or heck, even my own wiki. IDK. I’m just trying to continue to grow my influence (because I know some of you have expressed desire to have my books in a published form, and I want that too) And I want to connect with you guys too. Gosh, I would miss talking to you all, I couldn’t do that.
We’re gonna get through this together, guys. I’ll find some way. Even if I need to figure out a freaking blog, I’ll stick around, and just cause some sites are going insane, doesn’t mean they all will. If any of you know of some smaller sites for videos, I’d love to know. I’ve posted some stuff on Rumble, but they’re being flooded with new members (understandably) and it takes forever for videos to go live. So... yeah.
I’m very disappointed in YouTube and Insta, and was excited for a future using their platforms. That’s sadly not going to be (which seriously sucks, because I had a lot of ideas and was hoping to make 2021 a year of expansion.)
However, these exsternal factors don’t mean 2021 won’t be a year of just that. The Saynaverse will endure.
I wish you all the best in this crazy time. Merry Christmas my friends, and here’s hoping for a truly happy New Year. Stay safe, and please do stay healthy. OC couple questions (pt. 2)

Well, I didn't have to do another one but I want to. And AstarGoldenwing requested some more couples so here we go.
First off, Veil and Esther
Do they own their home or do they rent?
Generally they live in the Gingivere castle, at least when they're a relatively young couple. As Veil is formally an ambassador of the vermin kingdom, he has to stay close to his (adopted) parents.
What do they tease each other about?
They have several inside joke from their adventures in Southsward. Mostly Esther being sticky-fingered and the fact Veil can't read a map to save his life. Literally. And the fact that for some unknown reason, he's always getting himself thrown in a dungeon somewhere.
Are any of them unemployed?
No. Veil is an ambassador and Esther is a royal assassin. Though to be fair, at the current time, Veil has a lot more work since their kingdom is at peace.
Who cleans up after the kids?
They don't have kids right away, but they do take care of Veil's half brother Esmund, even while they're still dating. And generally Veil is the one to keep him in line while Esther is more like his fun awesome babysitter who teaches him lockpicking. Yes Veil was /so pleased/ about that.
How often do they get time to themselves?
Not a ton, but they see each other at least once a week. As Esmund gets older he and Esther tend to join Veil in his travels as an ambassador. Of course when Esther does have their first actual child they end up separated often, but Veil makes it a point to come home when he can. And once their kids are old enough, they just travel a lot as a family.
Who has nightmares?
They both can, though Veil is more prone to them. However for a few years Esther has some pretty intense ones as a side effect of that one time she got cursed and turned into a living puppet by Swartt. And then he made her try to kill Veil and very nearly succeeded. Yay.
Who would have to bail the other out of jail?
Forget bail, Esther can break anyone out of prison. And she's already done that for Veil at least once. Because as we know, Veil is just really good at getting himself in chains. He doesn't even have to do anything besides exist.
Who makes the other blush without trying?
Veil. Esther is super into him and has literally had a crush on him since they were eight or something. Especially before they start dating, anything he says to her has this effect. Meanwhile Veil is just baffled for a long time since she's far too shy to admit her feelings.
How long can they cuddle until one becomes uncomfortable?
They're ferrets. Ok, Esther's an ermine, but they're both in the weasel family. And weasels love cuddling with each other. Besides, Veil's a lover at heart. He likes feeling warm and fuzzy and protected, poor guy. And Esther just likes (specifically Veil's) attention. I don't think they have much problem in this area.
Who sucks up to their boss?
I mean Veil does work for his (adopted) father. Though by all rights they have an amazing relationship. But Veil doesn't want to let him down. Esther also works for the Gingivere's, and there for awhile she was trying prove she was good enough for their son... so she was doing her best to impress them during that time for sure.
Next is the evil power couple;
Ferran and Fragorl
Do they enjoy their surroundings?
I think the real question is, do Ferran and Frag enjoy anything? But in all honesty, they're very transient and are probably utterly indifferent to things as menial as surroundings. Unless it's their tower in Kotir, which they decorate with appropriately spoopy décor. Basically they'd be comfortable in a haunted house and pretty much nowhere else.
Who is more likely to cringe at the other’s fashion sense at times?
They have nearly the same fashion sense. Black and Cloaks. But Ferran is baffled whenever Frag tries to dress to be 'attractive' for his benefit. He thinks it's utterly ridiculous.
Do they plan on having children/or have children?
They actually are unable to have kits for two reasons. Number one, Ferran is a fox, and Frag is a squirrel. Number two, they're both Necromancers, and pregnancy would kill Frag because of the whole 'her magic is turning her into a walking corpse and she'd have to give her own life so the kit could survive' issue. (that they actually don't know about at first) But Ferran does want one kit, because he needs an heir if he wants to stay alive since that's what he promised Malimore when he became a Necromancer. So they plan to raise his kit together, even if Frag cannot be its actual mother.
Do either of them get physical during arguments?
While you might expect them too with how many other creatures they've severely messed up, I don't think either has physically harmed the other. Maybe on a very rare occasion. Ferran sees no advantage in abusing her, he needs her there to watch his back; and she practically worships him. The only time they may have gotten into a physical fight was over Ferran being with another female in order to make aforementioned heir. And that... wasn't pretty.
Who likes to cuddle?
Frag. Ferran hates cuddling. He just tolerates it... sometimes and for a short while. And let's be honest, Frag isn't very cuddly herself.
Is money a problem?
They have a tendency to find material things useless and unneeded, so they only keep as much money as they absolutely must. And of course, if they do need some money... well, they can always rob and murder someone. All in a day's work for those two.
Do they share a bed or sleep separately?
Well Frag tries to get him to sleep with her as much as possible, but sometimes Ferran's just not in the mood. Also as transient as they are, usually one stands guard while the other sleeps, and then they switch.
Who changes the diapers?
*HAHAH* Ok but... once they actually get Shroud, I just want to see how absolutely incompetent they both are at caring for him. Because neither really counted on the fact that hey, babies are helpless and you have to take care of them. Buuut inevitably Frag will end up with the job. Because Ferran's just... not.
Who’s the grumpiest when they wake up?
But are Ferran and Frag ever not grumpy and sullen? That's my question. Still, Frag is a slightly darker thundercloud in the mornings.
Who gets scared during horror films?
*Pffffft* As if. I fear these two would watch horror like comedy or romance or something. They'd like it way too much. Thankfully, they live in medieval times and don't have films. Still, they make enough horror on their own.

Who is the authoritative parent?
Fortunata is far stricter with their kids than Bane. He is nothing but a big softy when it comes to them, and especially his daughter. He's slightly more tough on his boys, but his girl? He can never resist her. Ever.
What are their jobs?
Bane is the regional healer for the area they live, something he found a great interest in through the time he spent helping Germaine try to save Fortunata. Fortunata on the other paw is basically the mayor of the small town they found together, since she knows a lot more about leading and judging cases and things. She spent far more time closer to the Greeneyes and picked up a lot.
Who’s the tallest?
Fortunata is good four to five inches taller than Bane; he's tough and stocky, but is lacking in the height department.
Any alcohol or substance related problems?
Bane is a recovered alcoholic and won't let alcohol of any sort anywhere near him for fear of regressing. Before he met Fortunata however, he was drunk as much as he possibly could be and frequently was the incoherent body in the corner of taverns.
How did they first meet?
HAH! Um. Well Fortunata was forced to claim Bane was the father of her unborn kit, and he believed it. And instead of bragging about it to his friends and then forgetting like everyone thought he would... he actually took responsibility and started helping her. She gave him a reason to exist, and he gave her a friend in a world of creatures who'd brutally betrayed her.
Who does the cooking?
Both can, though neither enjoys it much. Though Bane can make amazing teas. I imagine they take turns, though Fortunata probably does it more. Seeing as Bane can be suddenly called away to heal someone.
How many children do they want/have?
They have three, two sons and their youngest, a daughter. I know the oldest boy is named Jax, but forgive me, I haven't named the other two. (Suggestions are welcome) Bane and Fortunata are perfectly content with three, and they don't plan on having more than that.
Any routines/rituals before bed?
Making sure the kits are asleep, and talking about their day. Usually it devolves into some level of cuddling.
Who said 'I love you' first?
Actually, Fortunata, as shocking as it is. To be fair she was delirious and thought she was dying. At that point she was. While Bane thought it and even told other creatures he loved her before she admitted this, he was afraid to tell her how attached to her he'd become. After all, he was still just a soldier, and she had held power much greater than his.
How often do they argue/disagree?
They get into little spats fairly often, but quickly forgive each other. Bane is unrefined and messy in his own living space, while Fortunata is somewhat rigidly tidy. She doesn't take kindly to her house being in disarray, though she kind of gives up once their kits are born.
Valentine and Valska

Who struggles to keep their hands to themselves?
While perhaps not the conventional version of this... Val. She desperately wants to see Hood's face for a good while, and tries to everything possible to get that hood off him. It becomes a competition of sorts between them... until Hood finally concedes and takes it off for her when they decide to become an official couple.
Who’s more likely to surprise the other with a fancy dinner?
Val, she wants to share all the good things of Sampetra with her new boyfriend. He... really is baffled by chopsticks. She has to teach him.
Who is the most ticklish?
Val is prone to randomly giggling at everything, so she is /very/ susceptible to tickles. Hood probably discovers this weakness quickly and learns to exploit it.
How did they first meet?
Well Hood was mostly dead due to unfortunate incident involving a haircut, and Val had gotten both legs broken by having a dead horse fall on her. (it makes less sense when summarized) But they were both in the infirmary together for a long time and Val started talking to Hood often, being very extroverted and hyper and very, very bored. Hood honestly found her absolutely adorable, but he kept his distance because she was already in a long term relationship and let him know it right away.
Who’s terrified of bugs?
Amusingly, Hood. He comes from the high north and doesn't know what to do with bugs. Val is just shocked the first time this is demonstrated because Hood is like... the toughest and smartest guy she knows. He's a black-wearing hooded assassin, for goodness sake. She teases him mercilessly over this .
Who does the washing?
Val, she did it for Romsca as sort of payment for living at her house for free, so it's a habit. Though Hood is honestly very disciplined and capable of caring for himself... still, Val usually gets ahead of him with her endless wild energy.
Do they have any fears for their future?
To some degree, Hood fears he is nothing but a rebound relationship to Val. Deep down he knows it's not true, but he's used to abandonment and not having the best turns in life. Val is his occasionally annoying ray of sunshine, and he fears he can't live up to Rasconza, who Val dated for about eight years. What he doesn't know is that while Val only speaks of the good times, her and Rasconza's relationship could be rocky, and she's honestly more at peace with Hood.
You know, that and the fear that their weak nation could be easily overthrown and they might lose each other and everything/one else they care about.
Their favourite place?
The many fancy gardens of Sampetra. Hood loves their elegance and peace, and watching Val run around in them and be completely random. Val just likes the outdoors. And being completely random.
Who holds the umbrella for the other?
Hood. Val is tiny compared to him. If they get caught in one of Sampetra's sudden showers, Hood just lets her hide in his cloak. He is the umbrella.
Who is more likely to stumble home, drunk, at 3am?
Honestly Val. She was a barmaid for a lot of her life, and she does like her ale. Though she usually doesn't get /drunk/ unless she's sad. And then she's a very sad drunk. I'm just imagining she does this after her first fight with Hood because she's scared she messed everything up and that she'll be alone forever. Then Hood comes looking for her with the same concerns and has to take her home cause she's a total mess.
Well, there you have it. I'm kind of running out of ships, I think. Maybe I'm wrong. Can you guys think of any I've missed?

OC Couple Questions

I was tagged by AstarGoldenwing to do this and it looks like great fun, because I love talking about my ships... probably more than you like hearing about them. Or maybe not. Because everyone loves ships! (I should know. I'm happily very, very single and I still love shipping characters) 
So I will do my most beloved ships, or at least all those I remember off the top of my head.
Starting this off, the soulmates, Whegg and Gina.
Who worries the most? (about their kids)
That would be Whegg, honestly. He's a bit overprotective of his kits, and just in general. But he's a most doting father, and Gina's always telling him to lay off and let the children grow a little on their own.
What are their jobs?
Whegg is captain of the Mossflowerian guard, and later a vassal lord to Gingivere. Gina is a novice healer, and dabbles in a lot of things, but she excels at mixing potions and growing herbs. If they knew what an alchemist is, that would be her title. She's a medieval scientist, essentially.
Who’s more likely to just randomly hop into the shower with the other?
Both would do this, but I'd have to guess Whegg.
Who wakes up with bed hair?
Whegg. I mean, he has a lot more of it.
Who spends the most time in the bathroom?
Amusingly, that's pretty 50/50. They both preen a lot, what with Gina experimenting with makeup and Whegg being such a connoisseur of hair.
Who has nightmares?
Gina. As she deals with a lot of trauma in her past, she is prone to nightmares. Whegg knows to just hold her when this happens, she usually falls asleep again pretty quickly.
How did they first meet?

Well, Cedric happened to be hanging upside down from a tree in a dragon trap. Luckily for him, Fripple and her cousin found him and cut him loose before he got eaten. After some banter of course.

That's an ongoing argument, but Fripple has about half an inch on him.

It takes a while for Fripple to get used to Cedric's guyliner. And the fact he will not touch a shirt. And his many pieces of jewelry. She eventually decides she likes it and wouldn't change him though.

I mean, both could. But I feel Fripple is going to be more prone to this thanks to the heavy touch of Borialis flower she got from her mother. They make her mind far more alert than other creatures, so she's going to have trippy dreams. But then she's used to that.

Cedric. He's a lot more touchy, Fripple takes after Sayna in that manner. Cedric tries to respect that, and at least he knows better than to be cuddly in public. Fripple's at lot more relaxed when it's just the two of them.

Honestly, neither of them. They might yell at each other for a bit, but after they've cooled off for awhile, they'll go have an honest discussion about why they were angry. They know that if either of them trashes anything, the other will not clean up after them. And neither is fond of excessive cleaning.

In Southsward, they like hanging out at Erick's resteruant. It's where they had their first 'date that totaly wasn't a date' and they both like Erick. In Mossflower, it's the water rooms of Brockhall. Cedric is astounded by them, and Fripple always loved them when growing up.

Later in their relationship they do, and it would depend on the night. Southsward can get pretty warm, so they're probably just trying not to die of heat. Buuuut in Mossflower, in winter? I doubt Fripple could escape. Cedric thinks he's freezing every second.

Oh my. I don't think the result would be good no matter who did it. Romsca can't cook to save her life, and Xzaris is blind. I mean, the sentiment might be there on either side, but the result catastrophic.

Both have struggled with depression, though Xzaris more so. They help each other cope and have for years. In a backwards way, they each are the reason the other isn't dead.

Somehow I feel like both are guilty of this, especially after having lived together for a few years. Sampetra is a warm place. And while Romsca normally would not dream of it being the reserved person she is... well, it's not like Xzaris can actually /see/ her. So she become comfortable with the idea far faster than she might.

Many, most revolving around the fact that they lead a nearly defenseless nation of former pirates that has committed crimes against almost every other country. For awhile, they fear they won't be able to have children, something that would land a devastating blow to their already weak nation's moral, as they are the last Dragons. They both fear failing the other and their country. But neither Romsca or Xzaris is known to give up, no matter how stressed they are.

It depends on which child you ask, though their family is very close in general. Mercy is Xzaris's baby, she's deeply connected to him and while she loves Romsca, she will nine times out of ten go to her dad for help or advice. Arava is close with both his parents almost equally, but he gravitates towards Romsca for council.

Cuddled up to each other. Xzaris usually dislikes physical contact, unless it's Romsca. With her, he is all cuddles. They really aren't used to much more than glowing cave moths, as the Lumarias are the only real insects in Teavar, it being so brutally cold. So both their reactions to all the creepy crawlies of warmer lands woulf be... interesting.

Martes, Konan, Shatter, Mirage... that group is fairly close. They did save their world together, and then have to do it all over again.

As both are Prophets, they pray to Ignasa pretty consistently and as their lives are hectic, before bed is the only time they get a little peace. At least when they're first married. Then it just becomes a practice. Also getting to bed takes awhile. They both have prosthetic limbs that are very uncomfortable to sleep with, so they have to take their arm and leg off, respectively.

Pfffffft *laughs hysterically* But seriously, in their married years, these two have enough hair altogether to drown in. Or possibly become hopelessly tangled in. Oh, mornings at the Vurg castle must be so amusing...
Their favourite place?
The wild woods of Mossflower, or the open plains of the west. Anywhere free, untamed, not a ship, and a respite from being king and queen. Torrin has a reasonable dislike of ships. For obvious reasons considering his past.
Who is the first to apologise?
Sayna is usually in this postition, probably because whatever they fought about was utterly ridiculous and triggered by her anxiety. Torrin knows this, and he lets her sulk for a few hours before just randomly hugging her when he thinks she'll be open to it.
Who gets up in the middle of the night to feed the baby?
It being medieval times, Sayna's really the only one who can. But then it doesn't bother her too much since her being dead/immortal makes her not need hardly any sleep. She usually just waits until Torrin falls asleep before reading all night anyway, and the best she can manage is a catnap.
How often do they get time to themselves?
Significantly less after their kids are born. But they're pretty firm with their scheduals, and don't allow their work to consume time with each other and time with their kids if they can help it. As Sayna has said, 'Everyone always wants something, and as long as the world won't burn down, they can wait.'
Who talks in their sleep?
Sayna is notorious for this when she finally does sleep. If she sleeps any length of time, she will start dreaming forgotten memories and wake Torrin up by saying what she said in that instance. She's also known to chronically sleepwalk.
Who likes to cuddle?
Torrin is more likely to instigate this, but Sayna doesn't resist and likes it more than she'd ever admit. The only time she's the one to start any cuddling is if she's an emotional wreck or just lonely. But it takes a lot for that to happen. She's a solid introvert.
Who is the authoritative parent?
Sayna is far firmer with the kids, or at least at first. Torrin figures out why after awhile and toughens is approach to parenting after a few years. But then it depends on what aspect of parenting, because Sayna's willing to teach the kids how to fightwhen they're like... five, and Torrin wants to wait til they're seven. Because that's far better. Sayna also reads them stories that might be a little violent. You know, just slightly. So it really depends on what you're talking about.
Fripple and Cedric
Who is the prankster around the house?
I fear the day these two start living together. Cedric will start the pranking, and Fripple will keep it going. They probably have an ongoing prank war complete with tally boards.
How did they first meet?
Well, Cedric happened to be hanging upside down from a tree in a dragon trap. Luckily for him, Fripple and her cousin found him and cut him loose before he got eaten. After some banter of course.
Who spends the most money when out shopping?
Cedric. Totatly Cedric. Fripple hates shopping and spending money.
Who’s the tallest?
That's an ongoing argument, but Fripple has about half an inch on him.
Who is more likely to cringe at the other’s fashion sense at times?
It takes a while for Fripple to get used to Cedric's guyliner. And the fact he will not touch a shirt. And his many pieces of jewelry. She eventually decides she likes it and wouldn't change him though.
Who has ridiculous dreams?
I mean, both could. But I feel Fripple is going to be more prone to this thanks to the heavy touch of Borialis flower she got from her mother. They make her mind far more alert than other creatures, so she's going to have trippy dreams. But then she's used to that.
Who struggles to keep their hands to themselves?
Cedric. He's a lot more touchy, Fripple takes after Sayna in that manner. Cedric tries to respect that, and at least he knows better than to be cuddly in public. Fripple's at lot more relaxed when it's just the two of them.
Who trashes the house?
Honestly, neither of them. They might yell at each other for a bit, but after they've cooled off for awhile, they'll go have an honest discussion about why they were angry. They know that if either of them trashes anything, the other will not clean up after them. And neither is fond of excessive cleaning.
Their favourite place?
In Southsward, they like hanging out at Erick's resteruant. It's where they had their first 'date that totaly wasn't a date' and they both like Erick. In Mossflower, it's the water rooms of Brockhall. Cedric is astounded by them, and Fripple always loved them when growing up.
If they sleep together, do they cozy up together or lay far apart?
Later in their relationship they do, and it would depend on the night. Southsward can get pretty warm, so they're probably just trying not to die of heat. Buuuut in Mossflower, in winter? I doubt Fripple could escape. Cedric thinks he's freezing every second.
Romsca and Xzaris
Who prepares breakfast in bed for the other?
Oh my. I don't think the result would be good no matter who did it. Romsca can't cook to save her life, and Xzaris is blind. I mean, the sentiment might be there on either side, but the result catastrophic.
Any mental issues?
Both have struggled with depression, though Xzaris more so. They help each other cope and have for years. In a backwards way, they each are the reason the other isn't dead.
Who wanders around in their underwear?
Somehow I feel like both are guilty of this, especially after having lived together for a few years. Sampetra is a warm place. And while Romsca normally would not dream of it being the reserved person she is... well, it's not like Xzaris can actually /see/ her. So she become comfortable with the idea far faster than she might.
Do they have any fears for their future?
Many, most revolving around the fact that they lead a nearly defenseless nation of former pirates that has committed crimes against almost every other country. For awhile, they fear they won't be able to have children, something that would land a devastating blow to their already weak nation's moral, as they are the last Dragons. They both fear failing the other and their country. But neither Romsca or Xzaris is known to give up, no matter how stressed they are.
Who is the favorite parent?
It depends on which child you ask, though their family is very close in general. Mercy is Xzaris's baby, she's deeply connected to him and while she loves Romsca, she will nine times out of ten go to her dad for help or advice. Arava is close with both his parents almost equally, but he gravitates towards Romsca for council.
What is their favourite sleeping position?
Cuddled up to each other. Xzaris usually dislikes physical contact, unless it's Romsca. With her, he is all cuddles. And she doesn't mind, she really had lost all ability to sleep until they started sleeping together. Both are so wary and stressed they almost can't relax unless the other is around. They are basically the only mortal the other trusts fully.
Who gives the most kisses?
Eh, I don't know. Probably Xzaris, though to be utterly fair, Romsca did kiss him the first time. And she's not terribly concerned about showing her affection for him in public.
If both do, who snores the loudest?
Both of them snore, but everyone agrees Xzaris win every time.
Do they live near the coast or deep in the countryside?
Right on the coast, mere minutes from the beach. They go for walks there in the evening or early morning often. If they can't hear or smell the sea at any given time, neither feels comfertable.
Who swears the most?
Both can swear a blue streak if they wanted to, but Romsca tends to be the one to let a cuss slip here and there.
Shadow and Ivy
Are they financially stable?
Usually not even close. They go where they will and for the most part, live off the land. Now and then they'll stay at an inn, but they typically sleep under the stars; as wild as the lands they roam.
How many cars do they own?
They own a horse between them. Actually it's technically Shadow's horse. But yes.
Who finds it amusing when the other trips over?
Definitely Ivy. Seeing the collected, menacing Shadow trip is admittedly funny, and she's just a jovial creature. Though I'm sure Shadow internally smirks when it happens to her.
Who’s the grumpiest when they wake up?
Being partially nocturnal out of habit, Shadow really isn't a morning person.
How long can they cuddle until one becomes uncomfortable?
Not terribly long. Shadow just really isn't touchy. He's trying for Ivy's sake, but she understands his past and him, and she's alright with it. And after all... she will sneak tackle hug him later.
What do they wear to bed?
Their clothes. On the hottest days of summer, maybe their underclothes. But living the nomadic lifestyle that they do, they don't exactly own anything else.
Who are the children more likely to learn their first swear word from?
It's kind of a toss up. Shadow's been exposed to a lot of swearing, and so has Ivy. Neither really gravitate toward cussing, but they do have their moments. Since Ivy's just more vocal in general, probably Ivy.
Who is more likely to raise their voice?
Ivy, she's just more likely to argue. Shadow sulks a lot, but he has a bad habit of internalizing everything. If he's mad he just retreats into his cloak and doesn't talk. Then Ivy has to figure out why. But honestly, he doesn't get mad much, as he isn't closely in touch with his emotions. Ivy's more likely to get miffed over something and Shadow just apologizes because he doesn't want to be bothered with an argument.
Do they plan on having children/or have children?
They didn't really plan out the kid thing, but they eventually have two, Briar and Thorn (because neither is very original with names) That's an interesting moment, when they realize they're going to be parents the first time. Shadow has kind of a mental breakdown... he probably stares blankly at Ivy for a long time and then starts freaking out about every bad thing that might happen. Meanwhile Ivy's just laughing and trying to tell him she won't die.
Who rakes in the highest income?
As they're mercinaries and usually take jobs together, it depends. Shadow tends to make more when he solos because he's just so good at what he does. But Ivy's a fast learner, and she's hardly incompetent. So it varies week to week.
Azul and Ronza
What’s their song?
Well storywise, either Immortals by Fallout Boy or Any Other Way by We the Kings. But as for couple songs... it depends on what stage of the realtionship you're talking about. I haven't thought it out that much. But for the second book, All I Know by Beth Crowely.
Who’s terrified of bugs?
They really aren't used to much more than glowing cave moths, as the Lumarias are the only real insects in Teavar, it being so brutally cold. So both their reactions to all the creepy crawlies of warmer lands woulf be... interesting.
Do they have mutual friends?
Martes, Konan, Shatter, Mirage... that group is fairly close. They did save their world together, and then have to do it all over again.
Any routines/rituals before bed?
As both are Prophets, they pray to Ignasa pretty consistently and as their lives are hectic, before bed is the only time they get a little peace. At least when they're first married. Then it just becomes a practice. Also getting to bed takes awhile. They both have prosthetic limbs that are very uncomfortable to sleep with, so they have to take their arm and leg off, respectively.
Do they live in the city or in the country?
No matter which city they reside in at any given time, it's always a city.
Who uses up all of the hot water?
Azul, though Ronza isn't all that concerned with it. He can heat his own water, as a fire magician.
Who sprawls out and takes up most of the bed?
It's pretty cold in Teavar, especially after Anirah's attack and all industry stopped for awhile. So they're pretty cuddly, if only for warmth's sake. Though if anyone would do this, it's Ronza.
Who threatens to leave but never actually does?
Again, it would depend on what point in their relationship we're talking about. After the whole experience of having their minds fused, they're pretty close. They have literally no secrets to keep and have a habit of finishing each other's sentences... it's leftover symptom and it weirds their friend's out because of how casual they are about it. They have horrible arguments when they first meet, but by the second book they're inseparable. If they managed to get this mad at each other, Azul would be the one to make threats like that. But I doubt she'd really intend to go through with it at any point.
Who goes to parent teacher interviews?
I'm sure they both keep very close tabs on all of Winter's tutors and make certain he's only receiving the best schooling. They probably alternate though, seeing as the two of them together tend to be very intimidating to normal creatures.
Who mows the lawn?
What lawn? They live in an ice-encrusted jungle of metal. In Svellcrest at least they have a very pretty garden of luminous cave fungi. Which Azul is more likely to do work in, since she has since she was small. It was her happy place for many hard years, and Ronza comes to enjoy it too... but he's not very good at actually growing plants.
Who lets the children indulge in sweets and junk food when the other isn’t around?
I'm not sure if they even have much in the way of candy for the first bit of Winter's life, seeing as Teavar's trade and economy are so very broken. But when they finally get things slightly stablized, Ronza would be a likely canidate.
And finally, the newest couple on the block,
Eira and Nicholas
Who wakes up first?
Nicholas, he has a rigid built in alarm clock. Aaaand it makes him wake up at five thirty in the morning. Yay! It takes him a long time to break this habit, and he's always an early riser.
What do they do when they’re away from each other?
If they aren't spending their slowly decreasing free time together, Eira is riding her horse, hanging out with Zella, or doing needle point. Nicholas would be reading or experimenting with alchemy alongside Peter. Secretly of course.
Are any of them unemployed?
Sort of? I mean, they are like... sixteen and seventeen. And married. But hey, it's the 1300's. But then I don't know of I'd count future king and queen of England in training as 'unemployed'. It's stressful enough to be a job.
Who is messier?
Eira generally, though Nicholas does have a lot of books and they kind of get everywhere.
Do they enjoy their surroundings?
Eira does, but Nicholas is adjusting. He doesn't love castle life, and he and Eira go on long rides deep into the surrounding forest quite often. Nick has to have some time away from all the people now and then.
Who kills the spiders around the house?
Eira loves her eight legged friends and won't let them be hurt if she can help it. Nicholas doesn't really care one way or the other, so they don't kill spiders.
Who likes to cuddle?
Eira likes cuddles more, but Nicholas at very least tolerates it. He still isn't entirely certain how he's supposed to act around Eira, but he usually assumes she knows more about being married than he does. And he doesn't /hate/ her affection, he's just not sure what to do with it.
Who actually keeps their word and leaves?
Well, seeing as they both knew what they were getting into and they chose to do it anyway, leaving the relationship isn't an option for either of them. Again, 1300's. But Nicholas is more likely to give up and go hide in his library until Eira simmers down.
Who cleans up after the kids?
They don't have kids for another few years, but once they do... well, honestly if either of them have to clean anything it's probably Nicholas. Since he's arguably way better at it and it's an old habit.
Who snores?
Eira. Always Eira. Nicholas just pokes her until she stops.
